Conference attendance

Applicants

Young researchers who receive funding from Longfonds to conduct research can apply for a conference attendance grant. Funding is only available for conferences related to a research project funded by Longfonds.

Criteria for conference attendance

You must present the results of your Longfonds-funded research project at the conference, either through an oral presentation or a poster presentation.

How to apply

Researchers working on a Longfonds-funded project can apply for a conference attendance grant using the application form.

Before submitting your application, check with your institution whether bench fee funding is still available for the relevant Longfonds project.

Applications must be submitted by email to research@longfonds.nl no later than one month before departure for the conference. Please complete all fields in the application form, including the Longfonds project number.

Conditions

The grant covers, up to the maximum amount available, travel expenses (second-class public transport), conference registration fees and accommodation expenses.

Within one month of returning, you must submit a report on the conference attendance to Longfonds in accordance with the applicable guidelines. Longfonds will reimburse the eligible expenses after receiving this report.

Your presentation must acknowledge that your attendance was sponsored by Longfonds. A digital version of the Longfonds logo can be requested from the secretariat at research@longfonds.nl. If you have any questions, please contact us.
