Conditions
- Your application must include the table of contents, a brief summary and a quotation from the printer.
- Funding covers up to 50% of the actual costs, depending on the applicant’s position and any funding received from other sources. Longfonds contributes a maximum of €700 towards the printing costs of PhD theses related to Longfonds-funded projects.
- Since January 2020, funding is no longer available for the printing costs of PhD theses that do not result from research funded by Longfonds.

- For Longfonds projects awarded from 2009 onwards, funding for PhD thesis printing costs is part of the bench fee. This bench fee is a maximum of €5,000 for a PhD candidate and can be used for conference attendance, publication costs or PhD thesis printing costs.
- Before the final funding amount is determined, you must provide an overview of any funding received or pledged by other organisations, together with the relevant correspondence.
