Consortium Grant 2025
Enabling medical breakthroughs through scientific research is the cornerstone of our work. In 2025, Longfonds will offer various grants to support vital lung research, including two substantial consortium grants. The good news is that we have simplified the pre-application process. Pre-applications can be submitted until January 21, 2025.
Longfonds encourages collaboration within the scientific community. Therefore, in 2025, we are making a substantial total amount of 1.4 euro million available for two research consortia (700,000 euro per consortium). This consortium grant aims to fund promising, innovative research into the prevention, treatment, and cure of chronic lung disease. Further explanation of the terms and research themes can be found in the document Terms and Conditions: Consortium Grant 2025.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for one of the two consortium grants, your research project must align with the themes described in the Terms and Conditions: Consortium Grants 2025. These themes are closely aligned with the focus areas of the National Program for Lung Research 2.0 (NPL2.0) by NRS and address knowledge gaps identified in care evaluations and knowledge agendas of scientific societies focusing on chronic lung diseases (NVALT, NVK, and NHG). For more details, we refer to the document Information on Knowledge Agendas and Knowledge Gaps.
Application Procedure
If your research project meets the eligibility requirements, start filling out the Pre-Application Form Consortium Grant 2025 as early as possible.
Information about the schedule, procedure, grant conditions, and more is available through the download links at the bottom of this announcement.
Patient Involvement
Longfonds considers it important that research aligns with the needs and concerns of people living with lung disease. Involvement of patients in drafting the application and conducting the research is required. Their input can enhance the relevance, societal value, and quality of the research. All related information is available in the document Terms and Conditions: Consortium Grant 2025.
